I made a version of Larry Wolfe's Chuck Nachos. I added a little more heat and I call them "Chuck Norris Nachos." Actually was not chuck tonight it was ribeye. And no disrespect to Larry I used D•Dogs Regular rather than WRB.

Put the D•Dogs on the steaks and let them rest in the fridge for a couple hours.

A few minutes on the new CI grates.

Diced up the steak.

Simmered for a couple hours in diced tomatoes and Rotel. I added some extra jalapenos and banana peppers to give it the real "Chuck Norris" kick.

On the tortilla chips.

Added the cheese and a few extra peppers, some time under the broiler .... And the finished product.

Huck while I was buying I bought the Griddle/Hotplate too and don't know that I will ever need it. Tried the torch lighting yesterday with the nachos, worked well, almost as fast as the charcoal chimney. Another item I bought (on sale, wink, wink) for my Weber kettle was an extra lower charcoal grate to keep the small pieces of lump from falling through. Now my old Weber One Tough Gold is pimped out as much as I can. Maybe you and HuckJr. can do a show "Pimp My Pit" another part of In The Hut;-) I bough one of the Performers that were REALLY on sale and it is still in the box in my garage. I have a summer cottage and may take that one there this Summer, now I'll have to pimp it out;-)

Thanks, I'm still working on my camera and BBQ skills. I've just recently discovered D-Dogs and it really is "Better Than Ketchup":)

When our family gets together for our family reunion bbq we start early. With a griddle would come in handy to do eggs, hot cakes sausages.
