Ever since I can remember I’ve owned some kind of Weber grill. I first heard about “Real BBQ” 10+ years ago from my in-laws in Virginia. At that time an Ohio boy like me thought a pork butt was a pigs butt. Fast-forward to this past spring and for some reason I Googled Pork Butt and I was off to the races. First stop was the BBQ Central pod casts on iTunes and amazingribs.com website. Next stop was a Smokenator1000. A few pork butts and several slabs of ribs later I had to have a WSM because my newfound idol Greg Rempe started with a WSM. I’m at the phase now where “My Family Loves My BBQ” but want to improve on that. I am retired so I can see either judging or maybe competition in my future. My other two passions are Virginia Tech football; I’m a season ticket holder, and Macintosh computers or any thing Apple. I look forward to participating in the forum and I’m sure you will see some elementary questions come from me.
