iGrill: iPhone meets Grill

We found this product pretty interesting for the geek griller out there.  This seems to be another way to monitor temperatures remotely a la the maverick.  More after the jump.

The iGrill website claims

iGrill communicates with your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch via a secure, long-range Bluetooth® connection.”

We hope to get a demo unit of this in and if we do, we’ll give you a full product review on it.

    Looks like the focus is the food. I can understand the convenience if you are cooking faster than traditional BBQ. I would think that the great thing about this for low and slow would being able to monitor the cook temp rather than the food temp. Wonder what temp it can go up to?

    Would have downloaded it but you have to have the new software and I am stuck with my 3G for another couple of months :(
