We started initially by throwing about 5 of the cubes in the fire with nothing on the pit. Needless to say, within a minute a sweet wine smoke filled the air. We wrapped the cubes in aluminum foil and poked a few holes in the foil and placed it on top of the fire. This was done because we were working with a charcoal grill vs. a gas grill. These oak cubes provided clean smoke flavor that went well with beef/pork ribs and some chicken thighs that we tried for our test. We would definitely recommend this product to our readers. This product can be purchased at greenleaf bbq among other places. Smoke on!!!
