Kosmo’s Chicken Soak Review
As you the reader know that we’re a fan of brines. A brine is normally what you make of it in that there are not many brines for sale on the market. We recently got a chance to review Kosmo’s chicken soak.
Our first impression was its nice color and the smell was not too overwhelming. Our directions advised us that a 3/4 cup mixed with a 1/2 gallon of liquid would be sufficient for a 5 lb bird (or parts of a bird i.e breasts, thighs). Your 1/2 gallon of liquid can be a mixture of whatever you like such as chicken broth, water, or apple juice. We elected to go with a combo of apple juice and water. Per the directions, we were to soak the bird for 6hrs. After rinsing, we added a little poultry seasoning and evoo. We also sat the bird on a can of budweiser.
Once our chicken was done, we were able to see the difference immediately in the juiciness and flavoring. The taste did not overpower the chicken flavor and we were amazed at how the juices were running from it prior to even cutting. Overall, we liked this product and it can be very instrumental to a bbq team on the competition circuit or making awesome backyard BBQ.
