3eyz Original BBQ Spice Rub Review
We picked up the 3 EYZ original bbq spice rub from the 3 eyz guys at the Galvinell Grillin and Chillin bbq contest. The 3 eyz guys told us it works great on ribs so that’s what we used for this test.
Generally when we try out a new rub, we put it on chips and or popcorn. On the chips it tasted a little sweet and spicy with the right amount of salt. After triming the ribs we applied 3 eyz APR to our ribs then added mustard and placed in fridge over night. We added a little more rub and placed our ribs on bds with a trio of wood (peach, apple and oak). The ribs were a hit when judged by our friends and family. We heard comments such as very tasty, real bbq, not over powering the flavor of the ribs. When we judged the ribs, it was without BBQ sauce and we felt the rub worked well with the ribs adding to the flavor not masking the meat. The judges at recent BBQ comps also agree as 3 eyz apr is award winning in placing 3 rd over all in back to back weekends. The directions state, of course we read this afterwards, apply thick coat to meat. 3 ezy competition blend rub is a winner. If you want to be winner at comps or in your back yard, this rub will help. Per the package info this rub works great on beef, pork, chicken, seafood and veggies. 3 EYZ also took 1st place in rub at the GAB, a BBQ spice contest. Now of course we wouldn’t leave you w/o pics of our ribs.
[UPDATE] This rub can be found at 3eyz BBQ, The BBQ GURU, Hawgeyes BBQ, and Galvinell Meats.
