QUICK TIP: Meat not making it to your target temperature?
Have you been smoking a piece of meat and everytime you go out to check the temp, it’s never quite there? Are you generally 15 to 20 degrees off? Well today we’re going to introduce you to a method commonly referred to as the “texas crutch”. Click Read full story for the rest.
This commonly used method only involves Aluminum foil. If you are “close but no cigar” to your targeted temp, you can cover your meat in aluminum foil and place it back on the grill. Aluminum foil kind of speeds up the cooking process . We recommend you check your temperature every 10 minutes after placing in the foil as the temperature of your meat will rise pretty quickly.
